Skoda India has launched the upgraded version of Skoda Laura in India. Skoda India plans to launch Skoda New Laura in the month of June 2009 with an extensive exterior and interior.

There are six variants of Skoda Laura are available in Inadian market which are – Laura Ambiente 1.8 TSI, Laura Ambiente 1.9 TDI MT, Laura Ambiente 1.9 TDI AT,Laura Elegance 1.9 TDI MT, Laura Elegance 1.9 TDI AT and 2.0TDI L and K AT.

All the variants have turbocharged engines, in-line, liquid cooling system, direct injection systems and are transverse in front. Perfect handling, directional stability and enhanced braking ability have always been the hallmark of every Skoda automobile and are mirrored in the new Skoda Laura as well, soaring high on the design, safety, security, comfort, and convenience aspects.

The new Laura comes loaded with safety features like Xenon curve projector headlamps with dynamic levelling, parktronic – front and rear park distance control, tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags. It also comes with active front head restraints, automatically dimming rear view mirrors, retractable headlamp washers, ABS + EBD, ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) / TCS (Traction Control System), EDL (Electronic Differential Lock), ESP (Electronic Stability Program), MBA (Mechanical Brake Assistant) /HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistant).
