Central Bureau of Investigation finally Investigated YSR Congress Chief and Kadapa parliamentarian Jaganmohan Reddy drove down to the Raj Bhavan road office of the investigative agency to be questioned in the Vanpic deal aspect of the disproportionate assets case against him.

The Vanpic project deals with the allocation of 28,000 acres of land by the YSR government after acquiring the land from farmers at a cheap rate to promoter Nimmagadda Prasad at concessional rates and the CBI case is that Prasad in a quid pro quo arrangement, invested crores of rupees in Sakshi newspaper and TV owned by Jagan.Amidst massive security arrangements Jagan set out from his Lotus Pond residence in Jubilee Hills a little after 10 am and arrived at the Dilkusha Guest House the make-shift CBI office, at 10.30 am.

The police cordoned off the entire Raj Bhavan road from the general public and only the media personnel were allowed upon proving their identity.While CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana is believed to be questioning Jagan, another team including some senior officials are quizzing the three other persons arrested in the Vanpic deal aspect of the Jagan assets case namely former excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, industrialist and promoter of Vanpic project Nimmaggadda Prasad and bureaucrat K V Brahmananda Reddy.

Tripura University start Maharaja Bir Bikram College the first degree college in the State started functioning under the University of Calcutta only in 1947.Not that there was no attempt in the past in Princely Tripura to establish any higher educational institution.As early as 1901 Radhakishore Manikya made an attempt to establish a degree college in the-then tiny capital town Agartala but as the proposal did not fulfill the necessary requirements it did not get approval from the Calcutta University.In 1937 Bir Bikramkishore Manikya the last Maharaja of Tripura had planned for establishing a college again at Agartala and an area of 254 acres of land, consisting of undulated tilla land having interposed lakes almost all around, in the eastern part of Agartala, was earmarked for that under the Vidyapattan Scheme.

Andhra Pradesh the movement that demands a separate state of Telangana has got a big boost.The party that has led that movement the Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) has won four of the seven assembly seats at stake.Voting was held on Sunday and results are being counted today.Six of the seven seats are located in Telangana.

The TRS is headed by K Chandrasekhara Rao, also known as KCR.It has defeated the ruling Congress party and main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in four constituencies.Both the TDP and the Congress are accused by the Telangana movement of not supporting its demand of statehood.The elections are also so far positive for Jagan Mohan Reddy who exited the Congress party to form the YSR Congress.His party is leading in in Kovur the only seat it contested.
